The BMXNOC0401 is suitable for Modicon M340 systems communicating with EtherNet/IP remote I/O, compatible drives, intelligent motor-control devices, industrial Ethernet equipment, HMI panels and supervisory systems.
It can also be used in Modbus TCP architectures requiring data exchange between the M340 application and compatible Ethernet devices. Scanner configuration, communication instances, data sizes and update rates must be reviewed against the original Control Expert project.
The four-port network arrangement can support flexible machine-network layouts. The actual network topology, managed-switch requirements, redundancy strategy and permitted port use must be verified before installation.
Verify the complete BMXNOC0401 reference. BMXNOE0100 and BMXNOE0110 support Modbus TCP but do not provide the same EtherNet/IP functionality.
Before removing the original module, record the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, EtherNet/IP device configuration, Modbus TCP scanner tables, DTM configuration, firmware and rack-slot position.
A replacement module may require firmware alignment, application download, DTM restoration and revalidation of every connected Ethernet device.
Do not assume that the module will operate after physical installation without restoring the original Control Expert communication configuration.
