The Dynisco TPT463E-3.5M-6/18 is a combined melt-pressure and temperature product with a nominal pressure range of 0 to 3,500 psi. Its lower full-scale range can provide better measurement resolution than higher-range versions when the application operates within the appropriate pressure window.

The unit provides a nominal 3.33 mV/V pressure signal and a removable Type J thermocouple. Its rigid sensing stem and flexible capillary arrangement assists installation on extrusion equipment where space, temperature and housing location must be considered.

Range Selection Considerations

The 3,500 psi range should only be selected when maximum operating pressure, startup pressure and transient pressure peaks remain within the permitted limits. Using a lower range can improve usable resolution, but inadequate overload margin can damage the sensing diaphragm.
