The Schneider ELAU SM-100/40/080/P0/45/S1/B1 is a brake-equipped permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor from the legacy PacDrive M SM-100 family. Its confirmed ELAU article number is 19203403V002001.
The motor uses the 40/080 winding and operates at 4000 RPM. It has a 3.4 kW cut-off power rating, 8 Nm applied standstill torque and 30 Nm peak torque.
This exact configuration combines a smooth steel shaft, SinCos single-turn encoder and an integrated holding brake. Protection code 45 provides IP64 shaft protection and IP65 housing protection.

The SM-100/40/080/P0/45/S1/B1 is suitable for legacy PacDrive M machine axes requiring high torque and shaft holding after motor power is removed. Typical applications include vertical axes, lifting mechanisms, gearbox-driven systems, indexing equipment, packaging machinery and automated handling systems.
The installed drive and controller must support the S1 SinCos feedback system and brake-control sequence. Confirm the brake supply, switching circuit and machine safety requirements before operation.
Verify the exact article number, S1 feedback and B1 brake configuration. The corresponding B0 model does not contain a holding brake and is not an automatic replacement for a vertical or gravity-loaded axis.
The brake should be used to hold a stationary axis and should not be treated as the primary dynamic stopping device. Test brake release and holding operation before returning the machine to production.
Inspect the shaft, bearings, brake wiring, power connector, feedback connector, motor cable and encoder cable. Confirm the controller project and drive parameters before commissioning.
SM-100/40/080/P0/45/S1/B0 is the corresponding non-brake version. SM-100/40/080/P0/45/M1/B1 uses multi-turn feedback, while P1 variants use a keyed shaft.
Surface-ventilated versions using protection code 40 and option code 01 have different motor length, housing protection and continuous torque capability.
Please provide photographs of the complete nameplate, article number, brake connector, motor connector, shaft and flange. Also provide the installed servo-drive and complete cable references.
Brake voltage, brake torque, encoder function, exact compatibility, product condition, testing status, availability and delivery time must be confirmed before quotation.
