Encoder, Shaft and Brake

The S1 encoder provides absolute angular position within one shaft revolution through a Hiperface-compatible feedback interface. Applications requiring retained multiturn position may need an external reference strategy or a corresponding multiturn motor version.

The plain shaft requires a suitable clamping coupling. Brake option 2 is intended for stationary load holding after the axis has stopped. Brake control wiring, release timing and holding requirements must be checked in the machine design.
