TOKYO KEIKI TOKIMEC EPCG2-01-175-11 Proportional Pressure Control Valve

The TOKYO KEIKI TOKIMEC EPCG2-01-175-11 is a direct-operated proportional solenoid relief valve designed to control hydraulic circuit pressure in proportion to the electrical input current.

The valve is intended for small-flow hydraulic systems and can also provide pilot-pressure control for pilot-operated pressure valves or variable-displacement pumps. The 175 pressure-range code specifies a maximum adjustable pressure of 17.5 MPa.

Proportional Pressure Control

Increasing the solenoid input current increases the controlled hydraulic pressure according to the valve's input-current-to-pressure characteristic. A suitable proportional valve controller is required to provide a stable and correctly regulated current signal.

A manual pressure-control knob is provided for initial adjustment or temporary operation when no input current is available. The knob must be returned counterclockwise before normal electromagnetic control is resumed.

Installation and Commissioning Notes

  • Bleed all air from the valve before commissioning to obtain stable pressure control.
  • Maintain a minimum control flow of 0.3 L/min; pressure may become unstable below this value.
  • Connect the T port directly to the tank and keep back pressure below 0.2 MPa.
  • Keep the end of the tank-return pipe below the hydraulic-fluid level.
  • Use a proportional controller capable of supplying a regulated current up to 1 A.
  • The mounting bolts, subplate and external controller are separate items unless explicitly included.

Selection and Ordering Notes

The EPCG2-01-175-11 controls pressure up to 17.5 MPa. It must not be confused with the EPCG2-01-210-11, which provides a maximum adjustable pressure of 21 MPa.
