Product Overview

The Dynisco PT4624-15M-6/18-SIL2 is a high-range two-wire melt-pressure transmitter with a nominal 0 to 15,000 psi measuring range and 4-20 mA output. It is intended for demanding polymer processes where pressure must be transmitted over an industrial current loop to the control system.

The rigid-stem and flexible-capillary configuration allows the electronics housing to be positioned away from the hot process connection. The high range and SIL2 designation require careful verification of pressure scaling, safety documentation and mechanical installation.

High-Range Measurement Notes

A 15,000 psi transmitter must be paired with an analog input and software scale configured for that full range. Selecting an unnecessarily high range can reduce useful resolution, while selecting too low a range can expose the diaphragm to overload. Actual operating and transient pressures should be reviewed.
