The Schneider ATS22D32Q is a three-phase Altistart 22 soft starter rated at 32 A. It is designed for controlled starting and stopping of three-phase asynchronous motors, helping reduce starting current, mechanical shock and stress on driven equipment.
The Q electrical version supports a 230–440 VAC main power circuit and a 230 VAC control supply. At 400 V, the unit is commonly associated with motors up to approximately 15 kW under suitable operating and starting conditions. Final selection must be based on the motor nameplate current and application duty rather than motor power alone.
The ATS22D32Q incorporates a six-thyristor power stage, integrated bypass contactor, electronic motor thermal protection, adjustable current limitation, local display and native Modbus serial communication.

The ATS22D32Q is commonly used with pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, mixers and general industrial machinery. It is particularly suitable for applications where controlled acceleration can reduce hydraulic shock, belt stress, coupling wear and mechanical impact.
The approximate 15 kW rating applies to typical 400 V installations only. Final sizing must consider the motor rated current, motor voltage, starting torque, load inertia, acceleration time, number of starts per hour, ambient temperature, altitude and normal or severe starting duty.
Verify the complete ATS22D32Q suffix before replacement. The Q version uses a 230–440 VAC main circuit and 230 VAC control supply. ATS22D32S6 and ATS22D32S6U have different electrical configurations and are not automatic replacements.
For used or refurbished units, inspect the bypass contactor, thyristor power stage, cooling system, main terminals, control terminals and fault history. Confirm that the unit powers up correctly and completes a controlled motor start before procurement.
When replacing an installed starter, verify the line or inside-delta wiring arrangement, protection coordination, motor thermal settings, current-limit settings, communication parameters and enclosure cooling.
Related 32 A models include ATS22D32S6 for a 208–600 VAC main circuit with 230 VAC control supply and ATS22D32S6U for a 208–600 VAC main circuit with 110 VAC control supply.
Adjacent Q-series current ratings include ATS22D17Q at 17 A and ATS22D47Q at 47 A. Do not select an adjacent model without checking the motor current and starting duty.
Please provide the complete motor nameplate, supply voltage, control voltage, motor rated current, motor power, load type, starting time and number of starts per hour when requesting a quotation.
Also confirm whether the application is a pump, fan, compressor, conveyor, crusher, mixer or another load type. Product condition, test requirements, availability and delivery time must be confirmed before quotation.
