The TOKYO KEIKI TOKIMEC P8VMR-20-CBC-10 is a compact low-noise variable displacement axial piston pump with a maximum displacement of approximately 8.4 cm³/rev.

The pump uses pressure-compensator control and includes maximum-displacement adjustment. It is intended for relatively small hydraulic power units and industrial pressure-control systems operating within the approximately 1.8 to 7 MPa range.

Control Function

When delivery pressure reaches the compensator setting, the swash plate moves toward minimum displacement so that the pump supplies only the flow required to maintain pressure.

The maximum-displacement adjuster can be used to limit pump output. It is not a substitute for a separate flow-control valve where pressure-compensated flow regulation is required.

• Verify clockwise rotation before starting the drive motor.
• Prime the suction line and fill the pump case before startup.
• Route the case drain directly to the tank with minimal back pressure.
• Do not operate continuously outside the specified pressure range.
• Adjust the maximum displacement only after releasing system pressure.
• Confirm the shaft, mounting flange and port positions against the existing pump.

Replacement Notes

This Design 20 model is commonly identified as a replacement for certain Design 10 P8VMR variants. However, the CB and CBC suffixes indicate different maximum-displacement adjustment configurations.

Confirm the complete old and new model codes before replacement. Installation dimensions alone do not prove that the control function is identical.
