The Gefran M31-6-M-P10M-1-4-D 2130X000X00 is an M3-series melt pressure transducer configured for a 0–10,000 psi measurement range. It is identified by Gefran ordering number F008653 and produces a nominal 3.33 mV/V output for a compatible strain-gauge measurement circuit.

This version combines a 6-inch rigid stem with an 18-inch flexible capillary. The mechanical construction separates the electrical housing from the heated extrusion-barrel connection while maintaining hydraulic pressure transmission to the internal sensing element.

Range and Controller Scaling

The 10,000 psi calibration is the primary difference from F008650. Even if the two models share the same stem, connector and capillary dimensions, controller scaling must correspond to the correct full-scale pressure. Substituting a 5000 psi model would change the pressure represented by a given electrical output and could affect alarm and shutdown settings.

Installation and Thermal Protection

Verify that the sensing tip is positioned correctly in the process stream without bottoming against the mounting hole. Support the housing independently and maintain a safe bend radius in the flexible section. The capillary should not contact sharp edges, moving guards or surfaces that could damage it through vibration.

Electrical Commissioning

Confirm bridge excitation, signal polarity, input sensitivity, shield termination and R-Cal procedure. Perform zero and span checks according to the controller and Gefran documentation. The 3.33 mV/V signal must not be wired as a current-loop output.
