Verify the maximum continuous and transient process temperatures before choosing the W31. The oil-filled design should not be selected merely because its mechanical dimensions resemble an M31. Higher-temperature processes may require a different Gefran filling technology and diaphragm configuration.
Inspect the 1/2-20 UNF mounting hole and remove process residue using an approved cleaning procedure. Confirm the six-inch insertion geometry and route the 18-inch capillary without tight bends. The flexible section must not be clamped, twisted or repeatedly flexed during machine operation.
The low-level mV/V signal requires strain-gauge excitation and a compatible input. Verify six-pin connector wiring, excitation voltage, signal polarity, shielding and calibration resistance. A standard analogue current input cannot receive the transducer signal directly.
W31-6-M-P05M-1-4-D 2130X000X00 F021515 provides a 5000 psi range. M31-6-M-P10M-1-4-D F008653 shares the nominal range and basic geometry but uses mercury filling. K31 models use NaK and support a different high-temperature application range.
