IAI PCON-PO-28PI-NP-2-0 Position Controller

Product Overview

IAI PCON-PO-28PI-NP-2-0 is a single-axis pulse-train controller for an IAI electric actuator with the 28P incremental configuration. The PO code identifies an open-collector command input, while NP specifies NPN sink I/O. The controller uses a 24 VDC supply and the model code includes a 2 m I/O cable specification.

This product is mainly required for repair and restoration of machines already designed around the PCON-PO platform. It should be selected by the complete controller and actuator nameplates, not by the PCON series name alone.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

PCON-PO was discontinued with an order cutoff of 23 June 2023. IAI identifies PCON-CB as the successor family, but the mounting dimensions, parameter files, I/O wiring, signal assignments, power and emergency-stop wiring, teaching tools, and controller-side motor and encoder connections are different. Do not describe PCON-CB as a direct plug-in replacement without checking the conversion requirements.
