IAI PCON-CA-42PWAI-DV-0-0 is a single-axis network position controller designed for a matching IAI RoboCylinder electric actuator. This configuration uses a DeviceNet communication interface, allowing an upper-level PLC or industrial control system to exchange motion commands, position data, operating status and alarm information with the controller.

The PCON-CA-42PWAI-DV-0-0 can be applied in networked assembly systems, packaging machinery, component-handling equipment, inspection stations and automated production cells. A compatible DeviceNet master can exchange actuator commands and status information with the controller according to the configured network mode and PLC data assignment.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

Record the DeviceNet node address, communication speed, PLC mapping and controller parameters before removing the installed unit. Confirm the complete model code, 42P actuator configuration, WAI feedback specification, connected actuator nameplate, firmware, DeviceNet EDS file, wiring, connector layout and parameter data. PCON-CA has been succeeded by a newer PCON-CB family, but the newer controller must not be treated as a direct replacement without a complete compatibility review.
